The visual aspect plays an important role when fruit and vegetables are bought. That’s why buyers increasingly prefer products which have been sorted by external characteristics. The second generation of the intelligent Quality Sorter (iQS) allows for such a sorting procedure.
iQS is a separate module which is placed on the sorting unit above the singulator. The iQS system takes up to 70 pictures of the fruit during its passage along the singulator. For this purpose, both colour and black/white cameras are used.
This is how iQS provides you with optimum control of the external quality of the fruit; deviations of one square millimetre are detectable. Ever since the introduction of iQS in 1996, hundreds of units have been installed all over the world.
Result: irrespective of the fruit supplied, a uniform product is sorted with consistent quality during the entire working week.
